Who We Are

Dr. Stephen J. Harrison

Dr. Stephen J. Harrison P.Eng. is the Director of the Queen's Solar Calorimetry Laboratory located at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

He has worked in the solar industry for more than 30 years and holds numerous patents in solar thermal technology.

Dr. Harrison and his research Team are currently conducting fundemental and applied research and development projects in the heat transfer, energy conversion, solar thermal and photovoltaic energy systems.

Robert and Ben Stinson

Robert Stinson is a sales and marketing consultant working with Dr. Harrison through PARTEQ Innovations, the technology transfer arm at Queen's University, Canada.

Ben Stinson is also sales and marketing consultant with PARTEQ who works with Dr. Harrison on solar thermal industry projects.
PARTEQ Innovations was founded by Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1987 to commercialize intellectual property (e.g. inventions) arising from university-generated research.

What we do

Solar Innovations is the web portal to cutting edge research and technology being conducted at the Queen's Solar Calorimetric Laboratory at Queen's University, Canada.

In partnership with Parteq Innovations, our goal is to share and communicate new technology innovations in the solar energy and heat transfer fields to industry partners, governments and institutions.

As a result we are looking to form collaborations with leading industry manufacturers to further develop and exploit these innovations to produce lower cost, high performance systems with unmatched reliability and safety.

InterSolar 2012, Munich

MCE 2012 Milan

Thanks to the help of the Canadian Trade Commission in Italy the Integral Stagnation Control and Passive Back Flush technologies were met with an overwhelming response at MCE, Milan 2012. AHR expo 2012 Chicago

Ben and Robert Stinson attended the AHR expo in Chicago and met with industry representatives regarding passive heat exchanger technology and over heat technology for solar thermal collectors.
